I'm thinking about returning the laptop for replacement, but I'm travelling so it might take a few weeks until I can take it back to the store. Went to bed, closed the lid.Ĭame home today with the same problem, so I'm forced to use the external wifi adapter again. Then I tried unplugging the adapter after 2 hours of use and now the laptop's wifi is working again. So I used my Linksys AE3000 external wireless adapter instead. Also read somewhere that I should also do the power management thing on all generic USB hubs. Did the "untick the box on the power management" thing on the wireless adapter. Tried rolling back and updating my drivers for both the wireless adapter and the realtek PCIe GBE controller. Reconnected wifi manually, it stays connected, then after less than 10 secs, wifi disconnects and icon shows I'm not connected to any network. Came home from work and opened the lid, noticed Wifi was disconnected. Set it up, downloaded windows and other updates from the HP support assistant.
